The New Orleans Saints have a very talented offense that can take them deep into January without question. This offense looks like one of the most well-rounded I’ve seen in a while.

QB Drew Brees is playing the best he has ever played and will be a favorite for MVP once the season is over. The 09′ season should be a good one for the Saints franchise overall, many expect the Saints to play late in January.

Drew Brees has established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the league - having all the offensive threats such as WR Marques Colston, RB Mike Bell, BB Reggie Bush, and WR Jeremy Shockey. All the pieces are in place for the Saints to win many games this season.

While their offense was effective, their defensive game was in shambles and something was missing from the team that had so powerfully established itself during the 2007 season.

The Saints schedule looks a lot easier then it did in the start of the year, their division isn’t as strong as it was in 08′. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in a rebuilding process and the Carolina Panther can’t seem to get anything together.

The defense is what the Saints need to keep opponents to a relatively low score - we know the Saints can score in bunches and quickly. But defense wins championships!

The Saints won this game 48-22. While the absence of Donovan McNabb played a part in the ease in which the Saints won, the Philadelphia Eagles defense looked nothing like its week 1 self. The Saints were just that good on offense once again.

We know what happened with the 07′ New England Patriots - they were on the verge of the greatest NFL season of all time but were defeated in the Super Bowl by the New York Giants. It uncertain the Saints can be as great an offense as the Patriots were in 07′, what will matter is how they execute in the playoffs.
