When MarQuies Gray opted to play quarterback for the Minnesota Golden Gophers in , various fans saw him as the future of the Minnesota football franchise. A qb with unique raw abilities and a frame suitable for different positions, it appeared as if Gray had a handful of serious potential.
The big name recruit (by Rivals.com) out of Indiana seemed predestined to be a member of the franchise in 2008, although his attempt to join in ended prematurely because of scholastic problems.
Fortunately, he could obtain his academics resolved and currently he’s started 2009 as a first year player.
